Hi, I am Jamie (K7WJT) operating on my General class license outside Birmingham, Alabama USA. I have a small base station setup with a Yaesu FT-991A on a vertical trap (Hustler 5BTV) running SSB, WSJT-X (FT8), GridTracker, MacDoppler, and WFVIEW on a Mac. My other antennas include an Arrow II 146/437 Yagi, a Chameleon MPAS 2.0, and Chameleon magnetic F-Loop 2.0. My other radios are the Yaesu FT-3D, FT-818ND, and FT-300D for mobile, repeater, and satellite work.

I enjoy studying the art of radio and new communications methods/protocols. Amateur radio, where old world engineering meets new age technology (SDR and digital), fascinates me. I am an neuroengineer, professor, inventor, and entreprenuer. Some of my professional work has been to develop methods enabling brain-machine communications, so naturally I am curious how radio wave transmission/reception will ultimately merge with these other technologies.
